Val d’ Isere, France… Jan 20 – 28
Sun Peaks, BC… Feb 23 – Mar 2
Quebec City, Qc.March 18-March 23
Many have requested a trip to Europe, so we have put together, through Skidadle Vacations, a trip to Val d’Isere France.
Currently we are looking at Val d’Isere, France, Saturday January 20 to Sunday 28, 2018
Val d’Isère has long been considered one of the best ski areas in the world. The tasteful, pedestrian only, village is a surprise to anyone who has gone to the usual purpose-built French ski resorts. The ski area is linked with Tignes creating l’Espace Killy, an area that is larger than Whistler/Blackcomb, Vail and Aspen combined. Along with the 300 km of marked runs are seemly limitless and easily accessible off-piste possibilities. All day, Monday to Friday, ski and snowboard lessons are part of this package. On Saturday, most people choose with ski with their friends who may have been in a different class during the week. Every day the group will meet up at the bar to enjoy the included drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol) and snacks/sweets. All meals and all drinks (except for some premium brands) are included in the package. In the evening a free local shuttle stops outside the Club Med door for rides to the centre of town or you can just walk. Then again, perhaps you will prefer to simply enjoy the evening shows, bar and dancing that are right in the club itself. The choices are yours and regardless, Club Med and Val D’Isère together cannot be beat. However, even though space is limited and will sell out quickly, please make sure that you read the cancellation policy before you commit. Also please be advised that additional government tax increases or airline surcharges are rare but possible. All existing fees as of May 9, 2017 are included in the price. Exchange rate changes will not affect the price.
Flights are to GVA (Geneva) so you won’t have to change planes, although the plane does stop in Montreal in each direction.
You have to get off the plane for about an hour but then you get back on to the same plane so the baggage stays on it all the way to Geneva (less chance of losing your bags). There are no nonstop flights with any airline to Geneva from Toronto so this is as close as it gets. It’s about 3 hours from Geneva to Val d’Isere so that means you will have to get up early for the return flight but CM will still have a breakfast ready on the last day.
See below for other fantastic ski trips.
